Promising young choreographer and performer Fana Tshabalala, who has established a strong artistic relationship with France and in particular French choreographer Michel Kelemenis, presents his solo ‘Une Rupture’ as part of a tour in the French cultural network in Southern Africa. In this work, Tshabalala conveys the following message: “it is not what we see with our naked eyes that defines the content and the context of the structure, usually what one sees tends to camouflage the reality. What happens when the eyes, heart and mind agree on one thing, that does it mean that is the reality ... My body and my soul will tell a story that my mind and eyes refuse/restrict to think and see, the next person will take a journey into reality of misjudged structure, the structure of me, you, us, and them.” His solo "Une rupture" premièred at New Dance festival in September 2011.
