Remise de prix - Concours de poèmes - NMMU

Students from the Department of French at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University participated in a poetry competition organized by the Alliance Française of Port Elizabeth in order to celebrate the month of Francophonie. This competition was open to students of all nationalities.
Students had to write a poem of two stanzas using the theme “seasons” and they participated with enthusiasm.

The competition was made up of two categories: one for second year students and the other for third year students.3ème-année

The prize giving ceremony was an occasion to remind students of the commitment that the French Embassy and the Alliance Française has to the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and its students.
The lucky winners received dictionaries and Bled conjugation manuals donated by the Service for Cooperation and Cultural Action.

Philippe Guinet from the association les Passeurs de mots will conduct a workshop on the spoken word on the 27 and 29 of March.

Congratulations to all the participants, the winners and see you next year for another competition!

  • Second year :  Jade Botha (First), Misha Connolly (Second) and Walter Abraham (Third)
