2) Produire au Sud Workshop - Nantes - at the Durban Film Mart

The partnership between Produire au Sud Workshop - Nantes - and the Durban Film Mart, based on crossed projects and expertise, sees another initiative geared towards professionals. This year, Produire au Sud Workshop - Nantes brings a French expertise component with a focus on script-writing, narrative and pitching.

This partnership is supported by the French Embassy/French Institute of South Africa, who has been instrumental in finalising the programme and providing financial support to secure the attendance of the key experts.

3) Ciné-Concert as part of the Durban Film Mart

The French band Ozma Jazz Quartet pays tribute to the silent films American comedian Buster Keaton in an unmissable cine-concert featuring their live music with films with Buster Keaton on Monday 21 July at 18h at the Alliance française of Durban, 22 Sutton Crescent, Morningside. Ozma will also lead a masterclass cine-concert as part of the Durban Film Mart.

OZMA's Jazz means energy and openness, freedom of swing music and effectiveness of rock - within groovy compositions and a formidable team spirit. Colorful, explosive, exciting and allways generous, the band OZMA lays between a mutant band and a jungle of sound. It is a group of nowadays, defending its creative and eclectic music with heart.

Blowing riffs, counterpoints, explosive sounds... Thanks to the originality of their music and a perpetual risk-taking, their shows can seduce an advised expert and also catch curious neophytes. The artistic direction developed in the quartet is plural, reflecting the different spheres of influence of its musicians.

Their rich musical experiences of 2010 have driven these four talented musicians to develop their full creative potential in a new album in quartet.

The event is presented with the support of the Durban Film Mart, Alliance française of Durban and the French Institute of South Africa.
