IFAS & Cap Town International Animation Festival

The French Institute of South Africa is partnering once again with the

Cape Town International Animation Festival

CTIAF 1

From March 2nd to 4th 2018, the only African Animation Festival of the continent is coming back to show you the best of the animation industry from Africa and all over the world! Be ready!

This year again, the French Institute of South Africa (IFAS) – represented by Erika Denis (Head of TV, Media & Film and Digital Lab Africa Director) – is partnering with the Cape Town International Animation Festival. On this occasion, the French producer Ivan Zuber from Laïdak Films (French/German Production Company for animation, live action and VR Films created in 2015), with a major in animation film at Gobelins School of Visual Communication in Paris, will participate to a talk and speak about quality films, regardless of their format, length, or type.

But there is even more to come!

Alexandre Heboyan is invited as well with the courtesy of The Animation School. This renowned director will inspire you, from 'Mune, Guardian of the Moon' to Jonas, by his experience in films projects development. As a foretaste, you can already listen him on the Animation SA's podcast interview...

And not to be outdone, the dazzling movie 'The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales' will have his first African premiere during the festival. This French animated anthology is produced by Benjamin Renner, who wrote the comic of the same name, and was one of the 2014 Academy Award nomination for Ernest & Celestine at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival.
