October was marked by the presence of 3 Chefs from France and Belgium in South Africa and Lesotho. From the 12th to the 24th of October, our 3 Chefs - Jean Alexandre Galmar (Reunion Island), Yoric Tièche (Antibes) and Nicolas Decloedt (Brussels) - travelled to Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Durban, East London, Johannesburg, Maseru and Pretoria for the So Chef ! project.

This year, around 380 pupils from 9 secondary schools took part in the So Chef! workshops; the project gathered 385 guests to the 6 gastronomic dinners organised in partnering restaurants, 260 culinary students learnt cooking know-how and techniques at 11 different Culinary Schools, Universities and TVET colleges, and 260 people attended the 12 workshops and So Chef! events (cocktail, screenings etc.) carried out in Alliances Françaises countrywide.
